Seventh retirement village underway for luxury house builder<\/h3>\n

Richmond Villages has started the first stage of construction at its newest \u00a337 million development in the quintessential English village of Aston-on-Trent in South Derbyshire.<\/p>\n

The first owners are due to move into one of the 47 one-and-two-bedroom apartments from late summer\/autumn 2016.<\/p>\n

Although the apartments (average size of a two-bed being 1,100sq.ft) and 30 Village suites (one and two bedroom) are designed for independent living, they also come with a \u2018hotel style\u2019 package to help with daily chores, and access to a 24-hour care home providing nursing and dementia care.<\/p>\n

As Richmond\u2019s managing director Paddy Brice explains: \u201cThe three levels of accommodation are designed so that people won\u2019t have to move again, even if they need additional care and support as they get older, and means they can stay close to friends and family in the area.\u201d\"ENTRANCE<\/a><\/p>\n

Steeped in history and mentioned in the Doomsday Book, Aston-on-Trent is both a rural village setting and easily accessible to both the north and south of the country via the M1.<\/p>\n

Richmond\u2019s retirement village combines different categories of homes and support for people who may have different needs but still want to live in, and feel part of, a community.<\/p>\n

Village facilities will include a wellness spa with swimming pool and gym, hair and beauty salon, library, IT room, terrace caf\u00e9, restaurant and garden bar, all set within landscaped grounds with a croquet lawn.<\/p>\n

Richmond villages which is part of Bupa currently operates five villages located in Cheshire, Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire and Warwickshire. Construction of a sixth village at Witney, Oxfordshire started 2014.<\/p>\n
