One-beds will cost between \u00a3235,000-\u00a3355,000 and two beds between \u00a3325,000 and \u00a3499,000.<\/p>\n

Taken from the late Queen Mother\u2019s maiden name \u2013 Elizabeth Angela Marguerite Bowes-Lyon \u2013 the development will be called Bowes Lyon Court and built on the town\u2019s Queen Mother Square.<\/p>\n
Bowes Lyon Court, which has a distinctive royal flavour but you don’t need to be royal to live there, will comprise 62 one-and-two-bedroom apartments designed specifically for the over 70s and is due for completion\u00a0in the autumn, with first apartments available for reservation now.<\/p>\n
Construction of\u00a0Poundbury began in 1993 and has been built on the principles of traditional architecture and urban planning as advocated by HRH The Prince of Wales, and delivered by the Duchy of Cornwall.\u00a0![\"Poundbury](\"http:\/\/newclone.retiremove.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Poundbury-Phase-2-59-Copyright-Duchy-of-Cornwall.jpg\")

The town which is home to 2,500 gives priority to people, rather than cars with a mix of commercial buildings and residential areas, shops and leisure facilities to create a pedestrianised\u00a0community.<\/p>\n
Bowes Lyon Court is part of McCarthy & Stone’s new Platinum collection of developments and will provide superior-quality living space and high-spec fixtures and fittings.<\/p>\n
Facilities will include 25,000ft of communal areas including a shared homeowner\u2019s lounge, as well as an on-site table-service restaurant and guest suite for when family and friends want to come and stay.<\/p>\n
There will also be a dedicated Estates Manager and flexible and on-site care and support team, offering domestic and personalised care packages, which can be tailored to homeowner\u2019s individual needs. There will be\u00a0staff on site 24\u00a0hours a day,\u00a0365 days a year.<\/p>\n
