She liked the look of a one-bedroom, first-floor apartment at Homecourt House in Exeter and asked one of her granddaughters to go and view it.<\/p>\n
After she reported that it was a lovely flat, Annette travelled to view it herself and really liked it, and within five weeks she had moved in.<\/p>\n
Annette loves the apartment. \u201cThe big draw for me was it has really big windows with lovely views,\u201d she says. \u201cI am a church goer and I can see my church from the window which is really nice. I feel very settled here and I\u2019m happy I was able to bring Sweep, who loves sitting on the window ledge looking out.\u201d<\/p>\n

Annette also appreciates the fact she is on an assured tenancy, which means she can stay in the property for as long as she wants.<\/p>\n
Homecourt House is a modern purpose-built development with 121 properties over four floors, all served by a lift. It is ideally located close to the city centre shops and amenities with regular bus services.<\/p>\n
To make life easier for the residents a service team is responsible for window cleaning, gardening and all external maintenance, and a house-manager is present during the weekdays to look after the running of the development. Each apartment also has a 24 hour Careline in each apartment in case of emergency.<\/p>\n
Annette says, \u201cI really like living here as the flat is easy to look after and I\u2019m very close to the shops and my church, which is great. I especially enjoy the lovely views and the fact the flat is not overlooked at all.\u201d<\/p>\n
Annette also enjoys the social side of living at Homecourt House and often spends time in the communal lounge and gardens with other residents. She likes to keep active, and is a member of both an indoor bowling group and golf group.<\/p>\n
Annette adds, \u201cI also make jewellery for my church fund and I\u2019ve recently taken up knitting again. We have a \u2018knit and natter\u2019 group on Wednesdays in the lounge which we all thoroughly enjoy!\u201d<\/p>\n
