Jade Companionships is a new club designed for people looking to connect with like-minded types to enjoy stimulating activities and experiences<\/h3>\n

Launched at a glittering event attended by celebrities Cliff Richard, Gloria Hunniford and Jon Snow, Jade offers those aged 55 and over to engage with kindred spirits and share a wide range of activities and interests \u2013 including travel, food and drink, exercise classes, theatre and book club forums.<\/p>\n

Jade also provides safe and secure ways for members to connect with each other within the area they live (initially London and the south east).<\/p>\n

One group activity will be arranged each week and another will be arranged in London each month.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>For instance, on Wednesday 8th August, a gourmet Cowes Week Picnic (11am-5pm, \u00a360 per person) overlooking the harbour is scheduled with the group setting off by ferry from Southampton Harbour. Then on Wednesday 15th August there will be a kayaking trip in the New Forest (\u00a350 with kayak use as well as transport from Southampton and Winchester included).<\/p>\n

On Tuesday mornings, a half-hour workout class from 8am takes place in Southampton\u2019s Ocean Village and this can be followed at home by logging on to Facebook at www.facebook.com\/jadecompanions<\/a><\/p>\n

Still young at heart, the 55+ age-group is eager for new experiences and a re-energised sense of purpose<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
