Residents from Signature Senior Lifestyle\u2019s Cliveden Manor, Marlow, have been enjoying weekly virtual shopping trips<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/a>The chance to enjoy a weekly \u2018virtual shopping\u2019 trip throughout September to the Edinburgh Woollen Mill store, based in the Flowerland Garden Centre at Bourne End, proved to be retail therapy with a difference for Signature’s residents.<\/p>\n

Not to mention a pleasant way to avoid the crowds and get in some early Christmas shopping.<\/p>\n

Via a video-call from the activities room, Cliveden Manor residents were given a personal tour around the store. They were able to point to the items they liked, with the help of Signature activities manager Natalie Waller showing them a variety of styles, colours and sizes.<\/p>\n

When everybody had made their choices, Natalie returned to the home with bags full of new clothes for those who had bought for themselves to try on for size; or others to put away for Christmas.<\/p>\n

Before lockdown, residents and staff enjoyed many an afternoon mooching around the garden centre, with the Edinburgh Woollen Mill as a highlight of the trip.<\/p>\n

There they would be welcomed and served by Janet (Store Manager) or Pam (Events Manager).\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

A couple of times a year, Pam even pays a special visit to Cliveden Manor with a selection of clothing for residents to try on.<\/p>\n

However since this has been no longer possible \u2013 a new initiative has been devised which has proved a happy solution for all.<\/p>\n
