Homeowners at Churchill Retirement Living’s Lockyer Lodge development in Sidford were treated to a brass band concert earlier this month to get them in the festive mood.<\/p>\n

The 13-strong East Devon Daytime Brass Band found a packed Owners\u2019 Lounge when they came to perform.<\/p>\n

With most of the musicians being retirees themselves, the band’s philosophy is to encourage older people who may have instruments unused for many years to get them out of the cupboard, join in and have fun.<\/p>\n

Perhaps some of Churchill’s homeowners will make\u00a0their New Year’s Resolution to dust off their old cornets, clarinets and trumpets.<\/p>\n
